Primeira Leitura: Romanos 7,18-25
Leitura da carta de São Paulo aos Romanos – Irmãos, 18estou ciente que o bem não habita em mim, isto é, na minha carne. Pois eu tenho capacidade de querer o bem, mas não de realizá-lo. 19Com efeito, não faço o bem que quero, mas faço o mal que não quero. 20Ora, se faço aquilo que não quero, então já não sou eu que estou agindo, mas o pecado que habita em mim. 21Portanto, descubro em mim esta lei: quando quero fazer o bem, é o mal que se me apresenta. 22Como homem interior, ponho toda a minha satisfação na lei de Deus; 23mas sinto em meus membros outra lei, que luta contra a lei da minha razão e me aprisiona na lei do pecado, essa lei que está em meus membros. 24Infeliz que eu sou! Quem me libertará deste corpo de morte? 25Graças sejam dadas a Deus, por Jesus Cristo, nosso Senhor. – Palavra do Senhor.

Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas – Naquele tempo, 54Jesus dizia às multidões: “Quando vedes uma nuvem vinda do ocidente, logo dizeis que vem chuva. E assim acontece. 55Quando sentis soprar o vento do sul, logo dizeis que vai fazer calor. E assim acontece. 56Hipócritas! Vós sabeis interpretar o aspecto da terra e do céu. Como é que não sabeis interpretar o tempo presente? 57Por que não julgais por vós mesmos o que é justo? 58Quando, pois, tu vais com o teu adversário apresentar-te diante do magistrado, procura resolver o caso com ele enquanto estais a caminho. Senão ele te levará ao juiz, o juiz te entregará ao guarda e o guarda te jogará na cadeia. 59Eu te digo, daí tu não sairás, enquanto não pagares o último centavo”. – Palavra da salvação.

Lettura della Lettera di San Paolo ai Romani – Fratelli, 18 Sono consapevole che il bene non abita in me, cioè nella mia carne. Perché ho la capacità di volere il bene, ma non di realizzarlo. 19Infatti, non faccio il bene che voglio, ma faccio il male che non voglio. 20Ora, se faccio quello che non voglio, non sono più io che agisco, ma il peccato che abita in me. 21Perciò scopro dentro di me questa legge: quando voglio fare il bene, mi appare davanti il male. 22Come uomo interiore, trovo tutta la mia soddisfazione nella legge di Dio; 23ma sento un'altra legge nelle mie membra, che combatte contro la legge della mia ragione e mi imprigiona nella legge del peccato, questa legge che è nelle mie membra. 24Infelice io sono! Chi mi libererà da questo corpo di morte? 25Grazie a Dio per mezzo di Gesù Cristo nostro Signore. - Parola del Signore.

E così accade. 55Quando senti che soffia lo scirocco, dici subito che farà caldo. E così accade. 56Ipocriti! Sai interpretare l'aspetto della terra e del cielo. Come mai non sai come interpretare il presente? 57Perché non giudicate voi stessi ciò che è giusto? 58Quando vai con il tuo avversario a comparire davanti al magistrato, cerca di risolvere la questione con lui mentre sei per strada. Altrimenti ti porterà dal giudice, il giudice ti consegnerà alla guardia e la guardia ti metterà in prigione. 59Io ti dico che non te ne andrai finché non avrai pagato fino all'ultimo soldo». – Parola di salvezza.

Porque tengo capacidad de querer el bien, pero no de lograrlo. 19De hecho, no hago el bien que quiero, sino el mal que no quiero. 20 Ahora bien, si hago lo que no quiero hacer, ya no soy yo quien actúa, sino el pecado que habita en mí. 21Por eso descubro esta ley dentro de mí: cuando quiero hacer el bien, el mal aparece ante mí. 22Como hombre interior, hago toda mi satisfacción en la ley de Dios; 23pero siento otra ley en mis miembros, que lucha contra la ley de mi razón y me aprisiona en la ley del pecado, esta ley que está en mis miembros. 24¡Desdichado de lo que soy! ¿Quién me librará de este cuerpo de muerte? 25Gracias a Dios por Jesucristo nuestro Señor. - Palabra del Señor.

De lo contrario, te llevará ante el juez, el juez te entregará al guardia y el guardia te meterá en la cárcel. 59 Les digo que no se irán hasta que paguen el último centavo”. – Palabra de salvación.
