Primeira Leitura: Daniel 7,15-27
Leitura da profecia de Daniel – 15Fiquei chocado em meu íntimo: eu, Daniel, fiquei aterrorizado com estas coisas, e as visões da imaginação me deixaram perturbado. 16Aproximei-me de um dos presentes e pedi-lhe que me desse explicações sobre o significado de tudo aquilo. Respondeu-me, fazendo-me conhecer a interpretação das coisas: 17“Estes quatro possantes animais são quatro reinos que surgirão na terra; 18mas os que receberão o reino são os santos do Altíssimo: eles ficarão de posse do reino por todos os séculos, eternamente”. 19Depois, quis ser mais bem informado a respeito do quarto animal, que era bastante diferente dos outros e o mais terrível de todos, com seus dentes de ferro e garras de bronze, sempre devorando e triturando, e calcando aos pés o que restava; 20e ainda a respeito dos dez chifres e sobre o outro que nascera e fizera cair outros três, sobre o chifre que tinha olhos e boca, e que fazia ouvir uma fala forte, e era maior que os outros. 21Eu continuava a olhar, e eis que esse chifre combatia contra os santos e vencia, 22até que veio o ancião de muitos dias e fez justiça aos santos do Altíssimo, e chegou o tempo para os santos entrarem na posse do reino. 23Respondeu-me assim: “O quarto animal é um quarto reino que surgirá na terra e que será maior do que todos os outros reinos; há de devorar a terra inteira, espezinhá-la e esmagá-la. 24Quanto aos dez chifres do reino, serão dez reis; um outro surgirá depois deles, e este será mais poderoso do que seus antecessores, e abaterá os três reis, 25e articulará insolências contra o Altíssimo e perseguirá seus santos, e se julgará em condições de mudar os tempos e a lei; os santos serão entregues ao seu arbítrio por um tempo, por tempos e por um meio-tempo; 26o tribunal se estabelecerá, e ao chifre será tirado o poder, até ser destruído e desaparecer para sempre; 27e, então, que seja dado o reino, o poder e a grandeza dos reinos que existem sob o céu ao povo dos santos do Altíssimo, cujo reino é um reino eterno e a quem todos os reis servirão e prestarão obediência”. – Palavra do Senhor.

Proclamação do santo Evangelho segundo Lucas – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: 34“Tomai cuidado para que vossos corações não fiquem insensíveis por causa da gula, da embriaguez e das preocupações da vida e esse dia não caia de repente sobre vós; 35pois esse dia cairá como uma armadilha sobre todos os habitantes de toda a terra. 36Portanto, ficai atentos e orai a todo momento, a fim de terdes força para escapar de tudo o que deve acontecer e para ficardes em pé diante do Filho do Homem”. – Palavra da salvação.

Lettura della profezia di Daniele – 15 Rimasi sconvolto dentro di me: io, Daniele, ero terrorizzato da queste cose, e le visioni della fantasia mi lasciavano turbato. 16Mi sono avvicinato a uno dei presenti e gli ho chiesto di spiegarmi il significato di tutto questo. Egli mi rispose, facendomi conoscere l'interpretazione delle cose: 17 «Questi quattro animali potenti sono i quattro regni che sorgeranno sulla terra; 18ma coloro che riceveranno il regno sono i santi dell'Altissimo: essi possederanno il regno per tutti i secoli, per sempre». 19Poi volle informarsi meglio del quarto animale, che era ben diverso dagli altri e il più terribile di tutti, con i suoi denti di ferro e gli artigli di bronzo, sempre divoratore e stritolatore e calpestando ciò che restava sotto i suoi piedi; 20 Quanto alle dieci corna e all'altro che nacque e ne fece cadere altri tre, riguardava il corno che aveva occhi e bocca e che faceva udire forti parole ed era più grande degli altri. 21Io continuavo a guardare, ed ecco quel corno combatteva contro i santi e vinceva, 22finché venne l'anziano di molti giorni e rese giustizia ai santi dell'Altissimo, e venne il tempo che i santi entrassero in possesso del regno. 23 Egli mi rispose così: «Il quarto animale è un quarto regno che sorgerà sulla terra e sarà più grande di tutti gli altri regni; Divorerà tutta la terra, la calpesterà e la stritolerà. 24 Quanto alle dieci corna del regno, vi saranno dieci re; Dopo di loro ne sorgerà un altro, che sarà più potente dei suoi predecessori, e rovescerà i tre re, 25e commetterà insolenza contro l'Altissimo, perseguiterà i suoi santi, e giudicherà in grado di cambiare i tempi e la legge. ; i santi saranno consegnati alla loro volontà per un tempo, per dei tempi e per una metà del tempo; 26il tribunale sarà stabilito, e il potere sarà tolto al corno, finché sarà distrutto e scomparirà per sempre; 27 Allora il regno, la potenza e la grandezza dei regni che sono sotto il cielo saranno dati al popolo dei santi dell'Altissimo, il cui regno è un regno eterno e al quale tutti i re serviranno e obbediranno». - Parola del Signore.

Annuncio del santo Vangelo secondo Luca – In quel tempo Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: 34 «Guardate che i vostri cuori non diventino insensibili a causa della golosità, dell'ubriachezza e delle preoccupazioni della vita e quel giorno non piomberà su di voi all'improvviso; 35Perché quel giorno cadrà come una trappola su tutti gli abitanti di tutta la terra. 36Vegliate dunque e pregate in ogni momento, affinché abbiate la forza di sfuggire a tutto ciò che deve accadere e di comparire davanti al Figlio dell'uomo». – Parola di salvezza.

Lectura de la profecía de Daniel – 15 Quedé espantado dentro de mí mismo: yo, Daniel, estaba aterrorizado por estas cosas, y las visiones de la imaginación me dejaban turbado. 16Me acerqué a uno de los presentes y le pedí que me explicara el significado de todo esto. Él me respondió, haciéndome saber la interpretación de las cosas: 17 “Estos cuatro animales fuertes son cuatro reinos que se levantarán en la tierra; 18pero los que recibirán el reino son los santos del Altísimo: ellos poseerán el reino por todos los siglos, para siempre”. 19 Después quiso informarse mejor del cuarto animal, que era muy diferente a los demás y el más terrible de todos, con sus dientes de hierro y sus garras de bronce, siempre devorando y aplastando y pisoteando lo que quedaba bajo sus pies; 20 y sobre los diez cuernos y el otro que nació y hizo caer otros tres, sobre el cuerno que tenía ojos y boca, y que hacía oír gran habla, y era más grande que los demás. 21Seguí mirando, y he aquí, aquel cuerno peleaba contra los santos y vencía, 22hasta que vino el anciano de muchos días e hizo justicia a los santos del Altísimo, y llegó el tiempo para que los santos entraran en posesión del reino. 23Él me respondió así: “El cuarto animal es un cuarto reino que surgirá en la tierra y será mayor que todos los demás reinos; Devorará toda la tierra, la pisoteará y la aplastará. 24En cuanto a los diez cuernos del reino, habrá diez reyes; otro se levantará después de ellos, y éste será más poderoso que sus predecesores, y derribará a los tres reyes, 25y cometerá insolencia contra el Altísimo y perseguirá a sus santos, y se juzgará a sí mismo en condiciones de cambiar los tiempos y la ley. ; los santos serán entregados a su voluntad por un tiempo, por tiempos y por un medio tiempo; 26se establecerá el tribunal, y se le quitará el poder al cuerno, hasta que sea destruido y desaparezca para siempre; 27Y entonces el reino, el poder y la grandeza de los reinos que hay debajo del cielo sean dados al pueblo de los santos del Altísimo, cuyo reino es reino eterno y a quien todos los reyes servirán y obedecerán. - Palabra del Señor.

Reading of Daniel's prophecy – 15I was shocked within myself: I, Daniel, was terrified by these things, and the visions of the imagination left me disturbed. 16I approached one of those present and asked him to explain to me the meaning of all this. He answered me, letting me know the interpretation of things: 17 “These four mighty animals are four kingdoms that will arise on earth; 18but those who will receive the kingdom are the saints of the Most High: they will possess the kingdom for all ages, forever.” 19Afterwards, he wanted to be better informed about the fourth animal, which was quite different from the others and the most terrible of all, with its iron teeth and bronze claws, always devouring and crushing, and trampling what was left under its feet; 20and concerning the ten horns and the other that was born and caused three others to fall, about the horn that had eyes and a mouth, and that made loud speech heard, and was larger than the others. 21I continued to look, and behold, that horn fought against the saints and won, 22until the ancient of many days came and gave justice to the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to enter into possession of the kingdom. 23He answered me like this: “The fourth animal is a fourth kingdom that will arise on earth and will be greater than all the other kingdoms; He will devour the entire earth, trample it underfoot and crush it. 24As for the ten horns of the kingdom, there will be ten kings; another will arise after them, and this one will be more powerful than his predecessors, and will overthrow the three kings, 25and will commit insolence against the Most High and persecute his saints, and will judge himself in a position to change times and the law; the saints will be delivered to their will for a time, for times, and for a half-time; 26the court will be established, and the power will be taken from the horn, until it is destroyed and disappears forever; 27And then let the kingdom and the power and the greatness of the kingdoms that are under heaven be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and to whom all kings will serve and obey.” - Word of the Lord.
