Primeira Leitura: Gênesis 4,1-15.25
Leitura do livro do Gênesis – 1Adão conheceu Eva, sua mulher, e ela concebeu e deu à luz Caim, dizendo: “Gerei um homem com a ajuda do Senhor”. 2E deu também à luz Abel, irmão de Caim. Abel foi pastor de ovelhas e Caim, agricultor. 3Aconteceu, tempos depois, que Caim ofereceu frutos da terra como sacrifício ao Senhor 4e Abel ofereceu primogênitos do seu rebanho, com sua gordura. O Senhor olhou para Abel e sua oferenda, 5mas para Caim e sua oferenda não olhou. Caim encheu-se de cólera e seu rosto tornou-se abatido. 6Então o Senhor perguntou a Caim: “Por que estás cheio de cólera e andas com o rosto abatido? 7É verdade que, se fizeres o bem, andarás de cabeça erguida; mas se fizeres o mal, o pecado estará à porta, espreitando-te. Tu, porém, poderás dominá-lo”. 8Caim disse a seu irmão, Abel: “Vamos ao campo”. Logo que chegaram ao campo, Caim atirou-se sobre o seu irmão, Abel, e matou-o. 9E o Senhor perguntou a Caim: “Onde está o teu irmão Abel?” Ele respondeu: “Não sei. Acaso sou o guarda do meu irmão?” 10O Senhor lhe disse: “Que fizeste? A voz do sangue do teu irmão está clamando por mim da terra. 11Agora, pois, serás amaldiçoado pela terra que abriu a boca para receber das tuas mãos o sangue do teu irmão! 12Quando tu a cultivares, ela te negará seus frutos. E serás um fugitivo, vagando sobre a terra”. 13Caim disse ao Senhor: “Meu castigo é grande demais para que eu o possa suportar. 14Se, hoje, me expulsas desta terra, devo esconder-me de ti, tornando-me um fugitivo a vaguear sobre a terra; qualquer um que me encontrar me matará”. 15E o Senhor lhe disse: “Não! Mas aquele que matar Caim será punido sete vezes!” O Senhor pôs, então, um sinal em Caim, para que ninguém, ao encontrá-lo, o matasse. 25Adão conheceu de novo sua mulher. Ela deu à luz um filho, a quem chamou Set, dizendo: “O Senhor deu-me um outro descendente no lugar de Abel, que Caim matou”. – Palavra do Senhor.

Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Marcos – Naquele tempo, 11os fariseus vieram e começaram a discutir com Jesus. E, para pô-lo à prova, pediam-lhe um sinal do céu. 12Mas Jesus deu um suspiro profundo e disse: “Por que esta gente pede um sinal? Em verdade vos digo, a esta gente não será dado nenhum sinal”. 13E, deixando-os, Jesus entrou de novo na barca e se dirigiu para a outra margem. – Palavra da salvação.

Reading from the Book of Genesis – 1Adam knew Eve, his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, saying: “I have begotten a man with the help of the Lord”. 2 And she also gave birth to Abel, Cain's brother. Abel was a shepherd and Cain was a farmer. 3 It happened after a while that Cain offered the fruit of the ground as a sacrifice to the Lord 4 and Abel offered the firstlings of his flock with their fat. The Lord looked on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look. Cain was filled with rage and his face became downcast. 6 Then the Lord asked Cain, “Why are you filled with anger and walk with a downcast face? 7 It is true that if you do good, you will walk with your head held high; but if you do evil, sin will be at the door, watching you. You, however, will be able to dominate him ". 8 Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go to the field." As soon as they reached the field, Cain fell on his brother Abel and killed him. 9And the Lord asked Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He replied, “I don't know. Am I my brother's keeper?” 10 The Lord said to him, “What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying out to me from the earth. 11 Now therefore you shall be cursed by the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand! 12 When you cultivate it, it will withhold its fruit from you. And you will be a fugitive, wandering on the earth.” 13Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is too great for me to bear. 14 If you drive me out of this land today, I must hide from you, becoming a fugitive wandering on the earth; anyone who finds me will kill me.” 15And the Lord said to him, “No! But whoever kills Cain will be punished seven times!” So the Lord put a mark on Cain, so that no one, finding him, would kill him. 25Adam knew his wife again. She gave birth to a son, whom he named Seth, saying, "The Lord has given me another offspring in the place of Abel, whom Cain killed." - Word of the Lord.

Lettura dal libro della Genesi – 1Adamo conobbe Eva, sua moglie, ed ella concepì e partorì Caino, dicendo: “Con l'aiuto del Signore ho generato un uomo”. 2 Ed ella partorì anche Abele, fratello di Caino. Abele era un pastore e Caino era un agricoltore. 3 Dopo qualche tempo Caino offrì in sacrificio al Signore i frutti del suolo 4 e Abele offrì i primogeniti del suo gregge con il loro grasso. Il Signore guardò Abele e la sua offerta, 5 ma non guardò Caino e la sua offerta. Caino era pieno di rabbia e il suo volto si abbassò. 6 Allora il Signore disse a Caino: «Perché sei pieno di ira e cammini con la faccia abbattuta? 7 È vero che se fai il bene, camminerai a testa alta; ma se fai il male, il peccato sarà alla porta, a guardarti. Tu, invece, riuscirai a dominarlo". 8 Caino disse a suo fratello Abele: «Andiamo in campagna». Non appena raggiunsero il campo, Caino si gettò su suo fratello Abele e lo uccise. 9Il Signore disse a Caino: «Dov'è tuo fratello Abele?». Lui ha risposto: “Non lo so. Sono il custode di mio fratello? 10 Il Signore gli disse: «Che cosa hai fatto? La voce del sangue di tuo fratello mi grida dalla terra. 11 Ora dunque sarai maledetto dalla terra, che ha aperto la sua bocca per ricevere il sangue di tuo fratello dalla tua mano! 12 Quando lo coltiverai, ti rifiuterà il suo frutto. E sarai un fuggiasco, errante sulla terra”. 13 Caino disse al Signore: «La mia punizione è troppo grande per me da sopportare. 14 Se oggi mi scacci da questo paese, devo nascondermi da te, diventando un fuggiasco errante sulla terra; chi mi trova mi uccide». 15E il Signore gli disse: «No! Ma chi uccide Caino sarà punito sette volte!» Allora il Signore mise un segno su Caino, perché nessuno, trovandolo, lo uccidesse. 25Adamo riconobbe sua moglie. Diede alla luce un figlio, che chiamò Set, dicendo: "Il Signore mi ha dato un'altra discendenza al posto di Abele, che Caino uccise". - Parola del Signore.

1. Il Signore Dio ha parlato, ha chiamato la terra, / dal sole che sorge al sole che tramonta l'ha chiamata. / Non vengo a rimproverare i tuoi sacrifici, / perché i tuoi olocausti sono sempre davanti a me. - R.
2. “Come osi ripetere i miei precetti / e portare sulla tua bocca la mia alleanza? / Tu che hai odiato le mie leggi e i miei consigli / e hai voltato le spalle alle parole delle mie labbra! - R.
3. Sedendoti, hai diffamato tuo fratello / e il figlio di tua madre hai insultato. / Di fronte a quello che hai fatto, starò zitto? / Pensi che io sia proprio come te? / Di questo ti accuso e ti rimprovero / e manifesto queste cose ai tuoi occhi”. - R.

Annuncio del Vangelo di Gesù Cristo secondo Marco - In quel tempo, 11 vennero i farisei e si misero a discutere con Gesù. E per metterlo alla prova, gli chiesero un segno dal cielo. 12Ma Gesù sospirò profondamente e disse: «Perché costoro chiedono un segno? In verità vi dico, a costoro non sarà dato alcun segno». 13 E lasciatili, Gesù risalì sulla barca e si diresse all'altra riva. - Parola di salvezza.

Tracciando il segno della croce su di te e sulla tua famiglia, dì: Benedicici, Signore Dio che è † Padre, Figlio e Spirito Santo, affinché viviamo sempre nel tuo amore e facendo solo del bene a tutti. Amen!

Lectura del libro del Génesis – 1Adán conoció a Eva, su esposa, y ella concibió y dio a luz a Caín, diciendo: “Con la ayuda del Señor he engendrado un varón”. 2 Y ella también dio a luz a Abel, hermano de Caín. Abel era pastor y Caín era agricultor. 3 Aconteció después de un tiempo que Caín ofreció el fruto de la tierra como sacrificio al Señor 4 y Abel ofreció las primicias de su rebaño con su grasa. El Señor miró a Abel y su ofrenda, 5 pero a Caín y su ofrenda no miró. Caín se llenó de ira y su rostro se volvió abatido. 6 Entonces el Señor le preguntó a Caín: “¿Por qué te llenas de ira y andas con el rostro abatido? 7 Es verdad que si haces el bien, andarás con la frente en alto; pero si hacéis el mal, el pecado estará a la puerta, observándoos. Tú, sin embargo, podrás dominarlo". 8 Caín dijo a su hermano Abel: "Vamos al campo". Tan pronto como llegaron al campo, Caín se abalanzó sobre su hermano Abel y lo mató. 9 Y el Señor le preguntó a Caín: "¿Dónde está Abel tu hermano?" Él respondió: “No lo sé. ¿Soy yo el guardián de mi hermano? 10 El Señor le dijo: “¿Qué has hecho? La voz de la sangre de tu hermano me clama desde la tierra. 11 ¡Ahora pues, serás maldito por la tierra, que abrió su boca para recibir de tu mano la sangre de tu hermano! 12 Cuando la cultives, te negará su fruto. Y serás un fugitivo, errante sobre la tierra.” 13 Caín dijo al Señor: “Mi castigo es demasiado grande para que yo lo soporte. 14 Si me echas hoy de esta tierra, tendré que esconderme de ti, haciéndome un errante errante sobre la tierra; cualquiera que me encuentre me matará”. 15Y el Señor le dijo: “¡No! ¡Pero el que mate a Caín será castigado siete veces!” Entonces el Señor puso una señal en Caín, para que nadie, al encontrarlo, lo matara. 25Adán volvió a conocer a su esposa. Ella dio a luz un hijo, al que llamó Set, diciendo: "El Señor me ha dado otro descendiente en lugar de Abel, a quien mató Caín". - Palabra del Señor.

En verdad os digo que a este pueblo no se le dará ninguna señal. 13 Jesús, dejándolos, volvió a subir a la barca y se dirigió a la otra orilla. - Palabra de salvación.
